First Calgary names new president, CEO

First Calgary Petroleums announced that Shane O'Leary, former COO, will succeed Richard Anderson as FCP president and chief executive officer. Anderson has resigned his posts.

Houston, Apr. 15 -- Calgary-based First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. (FCP) announced that Shane O'Leary, former chief operating officer, will succeed Richard Anderson as FCP president and chief executive officer. Anderson has resigned his posts.

Anderson has agreed to remain as a consultant to FCP for 6 months.

O'Leary has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Before joining FCP in 2006, he served as vice-president and business unit leader, Brazil, for EnCana Corp. Prior to that, he held senior positions with BP Amoco, working on projects in the Caspian, Middle East, Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, and Alaska.
