India's IOC appoints Butola as chairman

HOUSTON, Mar. 3 -- Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. appointed RS Butola as chairman. He has 30 years of industry experience.

Before joining IOC, Butola was managing director of ONGC Videsh Ltd. As the first chief-commercial of ONGC, he was instrumental in negotiating and executing the first oil sales agreement with the refineries upon dismantling of the administered pricing regime.
