Navarro appointed Peru's acting director general of hydrocarbons

Gustavo Navarro has been appointed acting director general of hydrocarbons for the Peruvian Energy and Mines Ministry, replacing Pedro Touzett, who resigned for personal reasons.

LIMA, July 7 -- Gustavo Navarro, an engineering consultant in the vice-ministry of energy, has been appointed acting director general of hydrocarbons for the Peruvian Energy and Mines Ministry, replacing Pedro Touzett, who resigned for personal reasons.

Touzett, who has served as director general of hydrocarbons for more than 5 years, will continue to act as consultant on hydrocarbons.

Navarro also will continue his post as consultant.
