Marathon hires Al Kaplan as vice-president, major projects

HOUSTON, Dec. 5 -- Marathon Oil Corp. hired Alard "Al" Kaplan as vice-president, major projects.

Based in Houston, he is responsible for project management function from the engineering and design stage through the construction phase.

Previously, Kaplan worked for Foster Wheeler USA Corp. where he was responsible for the management of business development and execution of the company's LNG project group.
