OTC elects 2004-05 chairman, vice-chairman

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) board elected Rod Allan as its the 2004-2005 chairman and William H. Luyties as its vice-chairman for that same period.

HOUSTON, June 10 -- The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) board elected Rod Allan as its the 2004-2005 chairman and William H. Luyties as its vice-chairman for that same period.

Allan is core expertise manager for Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling Inc., Houston. Luyties is Na Kika project manager for Shell International E&P Inc.

Both Allan and Luyties each have served 4 years on the OTC board. Allan succeeds Charlie Richards of C.A. Richards & Associates Inc., Houston, as OTC chairman.

Founded in 1969, the annual OTC focuses on development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection.
