Forest Oil names new senior vice-president, Alaska

Forest Oil Corp., Denver, named Leonard C. Gurule as senior vice-president, Alaska, responsible for directing all the companies' activities in Alaska, including exploration, production, drilling, and engineering.

HOUSTON, Sept. 24 -- Forest Oil Corp., Denver, named Leonard C. Gurule as senior vice-president, Alaska, responsible for directing all the companies' activities in Alaska, including exploration, production, drilling, and engineering.

Previously, Gurule spent 19 years with Atlantic Richfield Co. where his last position was executive vice-president, operations, ArcocIndonesia.

Before that, Gurule managed Arco's Prudhoe Bay operations and construction activities, engineering support to Arco's Alaskan exploration activities and petroleum engineering support to Kuparuk field.
