Eric Panchy named Wiser Oil Co. Canada president

HOUSTON, Aug. 6 -- Wiser Oil Co., Dallas, has appointed Eric G. Panchy president of Wiser Oil Co. Canada, effective immediately.

Panchy succeeded Harold T. Thornton, who retired after 14 years with Wiser Oil Canada and its predecessors.

Having joined Wiser in 2001, Panchy was Wiser Canada's vice-president, exploration, before his promotion to president.
