Harvest names Edmiston president, CEO

Harvest Natural Resources Inc. has elected James A. Edmiston president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1.

HOUSTON, Sept. 16 -- Harvest Natural Resources Inc. has elected James A. Edmiston president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1.

Edmiston's appointment follows the retirement of Peter J. Hill, who will remain on the board of the Houston-based independent.

Edmiston has worked for Harvest since September 2004, when he was named executive vice-president and chief operating officer. Before joining Harvest, Edmiston worked for Conoco Inc. and ConocoPhillips for 22 years in various management positions.
