EnCana names Eresman president

HOUSTON, Nov. 3 -- Randall K. Eresman will succeed EnCana Corp.'s founding Pres. and Chief Executive Gwyn Morgan, effective Jan. 1, 2006.

Eresman joined EnCana predecessor Alberta Energy Co. Ltd. (AEC) in 1980 and served as chief operating officer of EnCana soon after its creation.

Morgan will resign at yearend but will remain executive vice-chairman for 2006, working in an advisory capacity to Eresman.
