Chevron Canada sells midstream interest

Chevron Canada Resources (CCR) is selling its interest in Central Alberta Midstream Services (CAMS) to SemCanada LP, a wholly owned subsidiary of SemGroup LP, Tulsa.

HOUSTON, Jan. 22 -- Chevron Canada Resources (CCR) is selling its interest in Central Alberta Midstream Services (CAMS) to SemCanada LP, a wholly owned subsidiary of SemGroup LP, Tulsa.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2005 upon regulatory approval. The purchase price was not disclosed.

CAMS, formed in 1999, is a partnership between CCR and BP Canada Energy Co. It is the largest licensed sour gas processor in Calgary, with assets including four gas processing plants and more than 1,000 km of gas gathering pipeline.
