Syntroleum broadens management team

Tulsa-based Syntroleum Corp. announced that it has broadened its management team.

HOUSTON, Jan. 10 -- Tulsa-based Syntroleum Corp. announced that it has broadened its management team.

John B. Holmes Jr., currently Syntroleum's president and chief operating officer, has been elected by the board to serve as CEO.

Greg G. Jenkins, a senior executive with more than twenty years of energy industry experience, was appointed as executive vice-president, finance and business development and chief financial officer.

Holmes succeeds Kenneth Agee as CEO, and will retain the title of president. The position of chief operating officer will be vacant.

Agee, who founded the company in 1984 and researched and developed the proprietary Syntroleum process, will continue as chairman and will remain involved in the company's day-to-day business

Jenkins most recently served in several executive roles at El Paso Corp., including president, Global Petroleum and LNG; president, El Paso Merchant Energy; and president, El Paso Global Networks.

Additionally, Larry Weick, currently chief financial officer, will assume the position of senior vice-president, business development and Ken Roberts will fill the new position of senior vice-president, planning and strategic ventures.
