Petrobras lets contract for Akastor vessel

Petrobras has signed a firm contract with Akastor ASA's 50% owned affiliate AKOFS Offshore AS, Oslo, Norway, for continued use of Aker Wayfarer vessel to perform services as a subsea equipment support vessel offshore Brazil.

Petrobras has signed a firm contract with Akastor ASA's 50% owned affiliate AKOFS Offshore AS, Oslo, Norway, for continued use of Aker Wayfarer vessel to perform services as a subsea equipment support vessel offshore Brazil.

The duration of the contract is almost 4 years. Services will begin first-half 2023. AKOFS will perform operations jointly with partners Bravante for marine services and Oceaneering for ROV services.

Total contract value is about $282 million, of which about $198 million will be revenue allocated to AKOFS Offshore, the service provider said in a July 25 release.
