Santos gives TechnipFMC notice to proceed for Barossa contract

Santos Ltd. gave notice to proceed to TechnipFMC for a subsea production system contract for the Barossa project in the Timor Sea north of Darwin, Australia.
Santos Ltd. gave notice to proceed to TechnipFMC for a subsea production system contract for the Barossa project in the Timor Sea north of Darwin, Australia.
The contract, valued at $75-250 million, covers the supply of subsea trees and associated control systems, manifolds and wellheads, as well as installation and commissioning support, which will help to extend the life of the existing Darwin LNG plant.
Santos took final investment decision for the $3.6-billion Barossa gas-condensate development in March (OGJ Online, Mar. 30, 2021).
