Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has started the binding phase of the sale of its stakes in the Carmópolis cluster in Sergipe, onshore Brazil (OGJ Online, Nov. 20, 2020).

Potential buyers qualified for the phase will receive a process letter with instructions on the divestment process, including guidelines for due diligence and the submission of binding proposals.

The Carmópolis cluster comprises 11 onshore production concessions in different municipalities in Sergipe and includes access to infrastructure for processing, offloading, storage, and transportation of oil and natural gas.

The Atalaia cluster, which contains the Aracaju waterway terminal (Tecarmo) and the Bonsucesso-Atalaia oil pipeline—which flows oil production from the concessions to Tecarmo—are also part of the Carmópolis cluster.

In 2020, average production from Carmópolis cluster was about 10,000 b/d of oil and 67,000 cu m/d of gas. Petrobras is operator with 100% interest.
