Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has begun the non-binding phase to sell a cluster of 11 onshore production concessions in various cities in the state of Sergipe, onshore Brazil, including access to processing, logistics, storage, transportation and outflow infrastructure for oil and natural gas (OGJ Online, Oct. 23, 2020).
The sale of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin assets, jointly called the Carmópolis cluster (Carmópolis, Aguilhada, Angelim, Aruari, Atalaia Sul, Brejo Grande, Castanhal, Ilha Pequena, Mato Grosso, Riachuelo and Siririzinho), is part of the operator’s plan to improve the company’s capital allocation, increasingly concentrating its resources in deep and ultra-deep waters.
The Atalaia cluster, which contains, among other assets, the Aracaju Waterway Terminal (Tecarmo) and the Bonsucesso-Atalaia oil pipeline, which flows the oil production from the concessions to Tecarmo are also part of the Carmópolis cluster.
Average production from of the assets from January to October 2020 was 10,000 b/d of oil and 71,000 cu m/day of gas. Petrobras is operator with 100% stake.
Potential buyers qualified for the phase will receive instructions on the divestment process, including guidelines for the preparation and submission of non-binding proposals, as well as access to a virtual data room containing additional information.
