CNOOC lets EPC contract for North Sea platforms

CNOOC Petroleum Europe Ltd. let a 2-year contract to Worley for engineering, procurement, and construction services for its operated North Sea platforms Buzzard, Golden Eagle, and Scott.

CNOOC Petroleum Europe Ltd. (CNOOC Europe) let a 2-year contract to Worley for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for its operated North Sea platforms Buzzard, Golden Eagle, and Scott.

The services, which span full design lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning, will be executed by Worley’s Aberdeen, UK office with support from Worley’s global integrated delivery team.

Buzzard is about 100 km northeast of Aberdeen in about 96 m of water and is the UK’s highest-producing field. Golden Eagle lies about 111 km northeast of Aberdeen and first produced oil in October 2014. Scott is about 187 km northeast of Aberdeen in 142 m of water and produces crude oil and natural gas from Scott, Telford, and Rochelle fields.
