Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) has let a project management consultancy (PMC) services contract to KBR for the Ghasha Concession portfolio of projects, encompassing Hail, Ghasha, and Dalma sour gas fields in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

KBR will act as the main PMC contractor responsible for managing the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors for Packages A & B of the Dalma Gas development project, packages 1-5 of the Hail & Ghasha development project, Hail & Ghasha Islands project, as well as the deep gas project.

Work is expected to be performed over 4 years with an optional 2-year extension.  A value of the contract was not disclosed.

The Hail, Ghasha and Dalma ultra-sour gas project will tap into the Arab basin, which is estimated to hold multiple trillions of standard cubic feet of recoverable gas, according to ADNOC’s web site. More than 120,000 b/d of oil and condensates are expected to be produced when the project is on stream around the middle of the decade.
