Enterprise Products Partners LP has commissioned the third train at its Orla cryogenic natural gas processing plant in Reeves County, Tex.

Completion of the final announced processing unit at Orla increases gas processing capacity at the site to 900 MMcfd and allows EPP to produce more than 140,000 b/d of NGLs, the operator said.

With start-up of Orla’s third train completed, EPP now has the capability to process 1.3 bcfd of gas and produce about 200,000 b/d of NGLs throughout the Permian basin, the company said.

“The three trains at Orla that have been brought online over the past year reflect Enterprise’s agility and commitment to providing timely and efficient solutions for facilitating production growth in the prolific Permian basin,” said AJ Teague, chief executive officer of EPP’s general partner.

While expansion of the Orla site is currently completed, Teague said the company is progressing with its ongoing expansion of processing capabilities in the Permian with the Mentone cryogenic gas processing plant in Loving County, Tex., which will have the capacity to process 300 MMcfd of gas and extract more than 40,000 b/d of NGLs (OGJ Online, Oct. 31, 2018).

The Mentone plant remains on schedule for completion in first-quarter 2020, and EPP is actively negotiating contracts with customers to underwrite additional capacity, Teague said.

Intended to extend EPP’s value chain in the Permian and Delaware basins, the Orla and Mentone projects will link customers to the company’s integrated pipeline network, including the recently completed Shin Oak pipeline and the Texas intrastate gas system (OGJ Online, Feb. 28, 2019; May 7, 2018; Jan. 3, 2018).

Additionally, EPP is building 300,000 b/d of fractionation capacity at its complex in Mont Belvieu, Tex., complex, which is scheduled to come online in 2020 (OGJ Online, Nov. 6, 2018).
