Corridor confirms New Brunswick gas discovery

HOUSTON, Apr. 16 -- Corridor Resources Inc., Halifax, NS, Monday said it has confirmed its onshore McCully discovery in New Brunswick
The McCully No. 2 tested 2.2 MMcfd at a flowing tubing head pressure of 2,100 psi from several sands across a 400 m interval, including the main productive zone in McCully discovery.
The McCully wildcat, 7 miles northeast of Sussex, NB, originally was announced in September (OGJ Online, Sept. 25, 2000).
Initial analysis of McCully No. 2 indicated it is capable of flowing 4.1 MMcfd at the design separator pressure of 400 psi. The well was shut-in for pressure build-up analysis. Corridor and Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. are partners in the McCully play.
Following completion of testing on the McCully No. 2, Corridor plans to work over, re-complete, and re-test the McCully No. 1.
Corridor and PCS said drilling has started on a third well, McCully P-56, which 3D seismic indicates will penetrate up to 700 m of the prospective Albert formation. The well is expected to be completed by late May.
