Neptune Energy discovered two hydrocarbon deposits in northwestern Germany following successful drilling of Adorf Z15 gas and Ringe 6 oil wells.

In February, Adorf Z15 appraisal, in the municipality of Emlichheim, reached final depth of 3,500 m in the Carboniferous formation. Production tests indicated flow up to 1,700 boe/d gross. A processing plant for natural gas will be constructed during first half 2020 with production expected to start towards the end of the year.

Ringe 6 encountered the oil-bearing Bentheim sandstone formation at a depth of 1,500 m. The project was handed back to Neptune for completion and connection to the existing infrastructure. Production is expected to start before May 1.

Neptune is operator of Adorf and Ringe fields with Wintershall Dea as joint venture partner. Neptune’s share is 66.7% in Adorf Z15 and 45% in Ringe.
