Brava Energia SA has let an offshore transportation and installation contract to McDermott for Papa-Terra field in Campos basin and Atlanta field in Block BS-4 within Santos basin offshore Brazil.

Under the contract scope, McDermott will execute the transportation and installation of flexible pipelines, umbilicals, and associated subsea equipment for two new wells at Papa-Terra field and two new wells for the Atlanta Phase 2 development, the service provider said in a release July 7. The scope also includes pre-commissioning and onshore base support services.

The new wells will support production ramp-up as part of the company's ongoing strategy to increase output and extend the life of deepwater infrastructure. McDermott previously delivered the Papa-Terra tension leg wellhead platform (TLWP), the first dry-tree floating production system offshore Brazil and the first tension leg platform installed in South America at the time, the company said. The new well campaign is scheduled to start in fourth-quarter 2025.

Papa-Terra lies in 1,200m of water and currently produces using an FPSO and the TLWP. Atlanta lies in 1,500 m of water and shares the TLWP with Papa-Terra.

Brava Energia operates both fields and holds a 62% stake in Papa-Terra field and an 80% stake in Atlanta field.
