Woodside Energy awards FMC subsea systems contract for Chinguetti off Mauritania

Woodside Energy Ltd. has awarded FMC Technologies Inc., Houston, an $89 million contract to supply subsea systems and related services for Chinguetti field off Mauritania.

HOUSTON, July 2 -- Woodside Energy Ltd. has awarded FMC Technologies Inc., Houston, an $89 million contract to supply subsea systems and related services for Chinguetti field off Mauritania.

The project agreement includes 12 subsea trees, manifolds, production controls, and associated systems. FMC Technologies also will furnish installation and startup services.

The contract is part of a preferred supplier agreement for subsea systems that the two companies signed last year. Chinguetti is 50 miles west of Mauritania in 2,620 ft. of water.
