LONDON, Sept. 5 -- Appraisal well M162 in Molchanovskoye field in the Ukraine flowed an average 3.9 MMcfd of natural gas and 120 b/d of condensate, according to operator JKX Oil & Gas PLC.
The gas flowed at 840 psi of pressure through a 45/64-in. choke, and has been tied back to the company's production facility via a 6-km flowline.
Well M162 is a deviated well completed in the Tournasian carbonate and drilled as a stepout southeast of the successful well M160, which was completed in May. The wells are in a separate fault block immediately north of Molchanovskoye field on the Poltva license.
JKX said the Tournasian carbonates extends from the northerly flank of Molchanovskoye field to Ignatovskoye field. It is assessing the extent of productivity over this large area.
The company plans to acidize well M161, which was drilled northwest of well M160. Kremco rig is drilling appraisal well I130 to evaluate the potential for an extension northwards into the Ignatovskoye license area.
