Paraguay: Amerisur gets two blocks, third pending

Amerisur Resources PLC, Cardiff, UK, said Paraguay authorities have approved two of three licenses the company had applied for in the Piriti and Pilar basins in western Paraguay.

Amerisur Resources PLC, Cardiff, UK, said Paraguay authorities have approved two of three licenses the company had applied for in the Piriti and Pilar basins in west-central Paraguay.

Approved are the 2.4 million ha Las Palmas block and the 402,000 ha Coronillo block. The result of the third application, Espartillar covering more than 2.4 million ha, is expected to be known before the end of February 2012.
