The B4EW3 well is on a four-way dip structure identified from 3D seismic. It is projected to 2,000 m, with drilling to take 3-4 weeks.

Primary target is the Khufai formation at 1,400 m. The secondary target is the untested Masirah Bay sandstone formation. Both formations are Neoproterozoic in age.

CC Energy Development has 50% interest in Block 4. Tethys Oil AB, Stockholm, has 30%, and Mitsui E&P Middle East BV has 20%.
