Austria: RAG lets contract for 3D seismic in the Alps

Rohol-Aufsuchungs AG, Vienna, has awarded the DMT Exploration & Geosurvey Division, Essen, a contract to shoot 3D seismic in the Steyr area of the Austrian Alps.

Rohol-Aufsuchungs AG, Vienna, has awarded the DMT Exploration & Geosurvey Division, Essen, a contract to shoot 3D seismic in the Steyr area of the Austrian Alps.

The 370 sq km Vibroseis survey will involve 15,000 source points and 35,000 geophones. The survey is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.

Shares of RAG are held 50.025% by EVN AG, 29.975% by E.ON Ruhrgas E&P GmbH, and 10% each by Steirische Gas-Warme GmbH and Salzburg AG.
