LONDON, Oct. 20 -- Dong Energy plans to develop Trym oil and gas field in the Norwegian North Sea with two subsea horizontal wells and a 6-km pipeline tieback to the Danish production platform Harald.

If the Norwegian government approves the 2.4 billion kroner development by Jan. 1, 2009, Dong said it expects Trym production to start by yearend 2010.

Trym gas will be transported from Harald via Dong Energy's pipeline to the Tyra platform and onwards to Nybro in Denmark or Den Helder in the Netherlands. Oil and condensate will be delivered from Harald via Gorm field to Fredericia in Denmark.

A Dong Energy spokesman told OGJ that Trym was first discovered in 1989. It holds a 40% share, and its license partners Bayerngas Norge AS has 50% and Faroe Petroleum PLC 10%.
