TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co. began shooting a 2D multiclient seismic survey in eastern Indonesia just north of Sunrise and Troubadour gas fields and west of Abadi gas field.
The 1,500-km survey will infill a seismic survey previously shot in 2007 and an extensive multibeam data set in the area. The previously acquired data revealed a series of undrilled fault blocks and horsts from Permian to Base Tertiary levels.
The new project will provide a final detailed grid of data and assist with evaluating the Sahul platform and Timor trough area where data indicate an active petroleum system. Data will be available in the fourth quarter of 2011.
