Indonesia: South Sumatra 3D seismic survey finished
Cooper Energy Ltd., Perth, said it has completed shooting a 9.4 sq mile 3D seismic survey on the 4,000-acre Sukananti block in South Sumatra, Indonesia.
Cooper Energy Ltd., Perth, said it has completed shooting a 9.4 sq mile 3D seismic survey on the 4,000-acre Sukananti block in South Sumatra, Indonesia.
Idle Sukananti, Bunian, and Tangai fields on the block have recovered a combined 1.08 million bbl of oil. Cooper Energy expects to recover another 1 million bbl by redeveloping the fields. Data are to be available for interpretation in the first quarter of 2012.
Cooper Energy is operator with 55% interest in the Sukananti KSO, and Mega Adhyaksa Pratama, a private Indonesian firm, has 45%. The block is on trend with Limau and Tanjung Mirang oil fields.
