HRT America Inc., an affiliate of HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA, Rio de Janeiro, has opened a Houston office to lead the geology-geophysics and engineering operations for HRT’s projects in Africa.
HRT America Inc., an affiliate of HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA, Rio de Janeiro, has opened a Houston office to lead the geology-geophysics and engineering operations for HRT’s projects in Africa.
Initial focus is on the company’s blocks off Namibia, which are at the stage of 3D seismic acquisition.
Dr. Wagner Peres, geologist, heads the HRT Houston office as president. Other staff includes Joe Paul, exploration and production vice-president, Mike Hankins, senior geophysicist; Trevor Aitken, geophysicist; David Curry, petroleum system specialist; and John Auman, senior reservoir engineer.

Petzet joined OGJ in 1981 after 13 years in the Tulsa World business-oil department. He was named OGJ Exploration Editor in 1990. A native of Tulsa, he has a BA in journalism from the University of Tulsa.
