Lasmo wins license to explore Pakistan Block 2667-6

Pakistan Wednesday granted an oil exploration license to Lasmo Oil Pakistan Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ENI SPA of Italy, for Block 2667-6 (Gorakh) in Pakistan's prospectivity Zone II. The license covers an area 2,482.44 sq km in the Dadu, Lasbela, and Khuzdar districts of Sindh and Balochistan provinces.

KARACHI, Apr. 17 -- Pakistan Wednesday granted an oil exploration license to Lasmo Oil Pakistan Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ENI SPA of Italy, for Block 2667-6 (Gorakh) in Pakistan's prospectivity Zone II. The license covers an area 2,482.44 sq km in the Dadu, Lasbela, and Khuzdar districts of Sindh and Balochistan provinces.

Lasmo will invest $720,000 in the first 2 years and then an additional $1.6 million, contingent on the results of the initial 2 years.

Lasmo also has working interests in Kadanwari, Bhit—which began production recently—Zamzama, Miano, and Sawan gas fields.
