Woodside lets contract for subsea systems

Woodside Energy Ltd. has let a $44 million contract to FMC Technologies Inc. for subsea production systems for the Perseus-over-Goodwyn (PoG) project, 81 miles off Western Australia in 426 ft of water.

HOUSTON, Apr. 22 -- Woodside Energy Ltd. has let a $44 million contract to FMC Technologies Inc. for subsea production systems for the Perseus-over-Goodwyn (PoG) project, 81 miles off Western Australia in 426 ft of water.

The contract includes the supply of four subsea trees, production controls, and associated equipment.

PoG is part of the North West Shelf Venture, owned equally (16.67%) by Woodside Energy Ltd., BHP Billiton (North West Shelf) Pty. Ltd., BP Developments Australia Pty. Ltd., ChevronTexaco Australia Pty. Ltd., Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty. Ltd., and Shell Development (Australia) Pty. Ltd.
