TWO WESTERN FIRMS SIGN GEOPHYSICAL DEALS WITH SOVIETS

Two more western companies are doing business with Soviet geophysical data. Halliburton Geophysical Services Inc. and Dalmornefetegeofizica Trust, a subsidiary of the Soviet Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry, agreed to a joint venture to acquire 2D seismic data in the Chukchi Sea. The companies will work in areas of interest to international oil companies using a Soviet geophysical vessel equipped with Halliburton Geophysical Services equipment.
