Equinor issued a letter of intent to Aker Solutions to deliver a subsea production system to Kristin Sør oil and gas satellite fields in the North Sea. Work is expected to begin in 2021 with complete delivery expected first-half 2023.
Equinor issued a letter of intent to Aker Solutions to deliver a subsea production system to Kristin Sør oil and gas satellite fields in the North Sea. Work is expected to begin in 2021 with complete delivery expected first-half 2023.
Lavrans and Kristin Q field are satellites to the existing Kristin platform. The planned scope includes a subsea template with four standardized vertical subsea trees for the Lavrans Centre. Delivery also will comprise a manifold for Kristin Q field to be installed in the Kristin Q template delivered by Aker Solutions in 2007.
The Kristin Sør project will include deliveries from Aker Solutions in Tranby, Egersund, and Ågotnes in Norway, Curitiba in Brazil, Reading in UK, and Port Klang in Malaysia. Manufacturing of subsea trees will take place at the facility in Curitiba.
The contract, valued by the service provider at 1 billion kroner with options for additional work, is subject to a final investment decision and final regulatory approval. Equinor is operator. Partners are Petoro, Vår Energi, and Total.
