Nexera Energy Inc. has identified a drilling location following a 2-month geologic and geophysical review of its recently acquired Lerma lease near LaVernia, Tex., where the company has commenced operations.

Timing of the new short radius horizontal well, expected in the Austin Chalk formation at 5,000 ft, was not disclosed.

There are three existing wells on the lease, Lerma #1, Lerma #2, and Lerma #3. Originally Austin Chalk producers, wells #1 and #3 are being evaluated for up-hole potential in the Anacocho, Poth, and Navarro formations.

The Lerma lease is owned 100% by Nexera.
