Nexera Energy Inc. has identified a drilling location following a 2-month geologic and geophysical review of its recently acquired Lerma lease near LaVernia, Tex., where the company has commenced operations.

Timing of the new short radius horizontal well, expected in the Austin Chalk formation at 5,000 ft, was not disclosed.

There are three existing wells on the lease, Lerma #1, Lerma #2, and Lerma #3. Nexera has begun flowing the #2 well from the Austin Chalk at 5,000 ft to determine if lifting equipment will be required to increase or optimize production. Originally Austin Chalk producers, wells #1 and #3 are being evaluated for up-hole potential in the Anacocho, Poth, and Navarro formations.

The Lerma lease is owned 100% by Nexera.
