Drilled to 5,323 ft TD, the Rabul-7 development well in the West Gharib concession in Egypt was completed as a producer, connected to the central processing facilities at Meseda and brought online at an average stabilized rate over 5 days of 415 b/d (gross).

The well will provide additional support to the company’s fiscal year 2019 production guidance for the asset of gross 4,000-4,200 b/d, said Mark Reid, chief financial officer and interim chief executive officer.

The final location of another development well on the concession—planned for this year’s second half—is dependent on government approvals, Reid said.

Rabul field produces 16° API gravity oil from the Yusr and Bakr sands, which are also part of the Rudeis formation.

SDX Energy and Dublin International Petroleum serve as joint operators and share equal working interests in the operation.
