HOUSTON, Aug. 31 – Neon Energy Ltd., Perth, has completed and turned to production at an average 230 b/d of oil its Lombardi 15-27H horizontal development well near the crest of the southern lobe of North San Ardo field in California’s Salinas basin.
The well, which went to 4,301 ft measured depth, was completed with slotted liner and increased total field output 95%. The location was chosen from 3D seismic data. The company plans to drill another horizontal well soon on the field’s northern lobe.
Further production enhancement is expected from the dedicated cyclic steaming unit commissioned in late July. Each well on the field’s central pad will be sequentially
steamed.
