HOUSTON, Aug. 31 – Mitra Energy (Indonesia Sibaru) Ltd. plugged and abandoned the Mojo-1 exploratory well on the 3,180-sq km Sibaru block between East Java and East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The well went to a TD of 5,920 ft near a 1971 well that a 2008 petrophysical reevaluation indicated may have penetrated as many as three hydrocarbon-bearing zones.
Mitra Energy is Sibaru block operator with 60% equity interest, and Pearl Energy holds 40%.
