HOUSTON, Jan. 4 -- Private Houston independent Tepee Petroleum Co. completed an exploratory well for Jurassic Smackover oil and gas in Escambia County.
The 10-4 Alta-Blackstone, 18 miles northwest of Brewton, flowed 408 b/d of oil and 588 Mcfd of gas on a 10/64-in. choke with 2,552 psi FTP from perforations at 13,874-906 ft, state records show. TD is 14,200 ft.
The well is off the west flank of West Canaan Church oil and gas field.
