Total SA started production from Sein gas field in the Andaman Sea earlier this year.

HOUSTON, Aug. 25 -- Total SA started production from Sein gas field in the Andaman Sea earlier this year.

Two development wells on the field's single wellhead platform produce a combined 35 MMcfd of dry gas that is routed to Yadana field facilities. Sein went on production in March 2006.

The fields are on Blocks M-5 and M-6. Chevron Corp., which has an interest in the fields, said Yadana's output averaged 632 MMcfd in the last five months of 2005.

Total plans to develop Badamyar field in the same area (OGJ Online, Apr. 28, 2003).
