HOUSTON, July 7 – TGS NOPEC Geophysical Co. is starting its 10th year of geophysical surveying off Greenland with collection of more than 41,000 km of aeromagnetic and gravity data in the Ungava area of northern Labrador.
The next phase is 9,600 km of 2D seismic in Baffin Bay off Greenland’s west coast in advance of a spring 2010 bid round.
At the end of the 2009 season, the contractor’s data base will contain 90,000 km of 2D data and 300,000 km of aeromag and gravity data.
