HOUSTON, July 31
– Northern Oil & Gas Inc., Wayzata, Minn., claimed its sixth consecutive quarterly increase in production as it sold 50,396 bbl of oil and 6.6 MMcf of gas in the quarter ended June 30.

The company, which participates in wells operated by others, ended the quarter producing oil and gas from 101 Bakken and Three Forks wells and three Red River wells, with oil production of 967 b/d.

Northern recently completed 18 Bakken or Three Forks wells and is drilling or completing 35 more wells and is seeing a continued decline in drilling and completion costs.

Northern said Slawson Exploration, private Denver operator, is running three rigs to develop acreage acquired with Windsor Energy Corp. in May 2009. The 50-well, 18-month development program mainly targets 151n and 152n-92w, Mountrail County. Northern will participate with 12-15% working interest.
