Canbriam Energy Inc., private Calgary company, has spud the Farnham-1 exploratory well in Quebec’s St. Lawrence Lowlands.

HOUSTON, July 17
– Canbriam Energy Inc., private Calgary company, has spud the Farnham-1 exploratory well in Quebec’s St. Lawrence Lowlands.

Projected to the Ordovician Trenton-Black River formation at 2,567 m, it is the first well in a planned series. It is mainly a Utica shale gas test.

Interest holders in the program besides Canbriam are Ressources & Energie Squatex Inc., private Brossard, Que., firm, and Petrolympic Ltd., Toronto.
