HOUSTON, July 28
– Genting Oil Kasuri Pte. Ltd., an affiliate of Genting Oil & Gas Ltd., Jakarta, let a contract to CapRock Communications to supply satellite connectivity in support of seismic and drilling activity on the remote Kasuri block in West Papua, Indonesia.

The onshore block covers 3,534 sq km adjacent to offshore fields in Bintuni Bay that supply natural gas to the Tangguh liquefied natural gas project. BP PLC-led Tangguh’s first LNG shipment just reached the Fujian terminal in China (OGJ Online, July 27, 2009).

Genting Oil Kasuri has reported that the Kasuri block contains numerous gas prospects and leads.
