HOUSTON, June 23
– InterOil Corp., The Woodlands, Tex., is running tubing to complete its Antelope-1 discovery well in Papua New Guinea for a long-term production test.

Last week the company recovered more oil from the most recently drilled interval at 7,891 ft to TD 8,170 ft in the second sidetrack, but it hasn’t been able to estimate oil volumes in place or whether oil recovery is commercial.

DST 14 at 7,940-8,045 ft in the second sidetrack recovered gas, condensate, oil, and drilling fluid. The oil analyzed 33-43° gravity.

Test results to date indicate gas-condensate at 5,742-7,769 ft, a possible oil and heavy condensate column at 7,769-8,045 ft, and a transition zone to water between 8,160 ft and 8,367 ft.

The rig is to spud Antelope-2 near the end of July.
