The Canada-Newfoundland & Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board has issued a call for bids for Area C covering 208,899 ha in the Flemish Pass area.
The board will receive sealed bids until Nov. 1, 2012 with work program spending commitment the sole criterion for acceptance, that is, spending on exploration in Period 1 of a 9-year license. An exploratory well must be spudded in Period 1. Minimum bid is $1 million.
