Lundin completes Barents Sea exploration well

Lundin Petroleum AB reported through its subsidiary, Lundin Norway AS, that it has completed drilling of its 7222/11-2 well on the Langlitinden prospect in PL659 in the Barents Sea.

Lundin Petroleum AB reported through its subsidiary, Lundin Norway AS, that it has completed drilling of its 7222/11-2 well on the Langlitinden prospect in PL659 in the Barents Sea.

The well was drilled to 2,538 ft in 340 m of water. Lundin said the well will now be permanently plugged and abandoned.

Lundin Norway holds 20% interest as partner to Det Norske, which holds 20% working interest as operator. Other partners include Tullow Oil PLC (15%), Rocksource ASA (5%), Petoro ASA (30%), and Atlantic Petroleum UK Ltd. (10%).
