Nevada: Aussie firm takes Sevier thrust belt leases
Titan Energy Ltd., Perth, formerly Westralian Gas & Power Ltd., has acquired 17,000 acres of prospective shale properties in Nevada at a Bureau of Land Management lease sale in Reno.
Titan Energy Ltd., Perth, formerly Westralian Gas & Power Ltd., has acquired 17,000 acres of prospective shale properties in Nevada at a Bureau of Land Management lease sale in Reno.
The leases, held through Titan’s subsidiary Sunset Energy LLC, include 9,808 acres at the northern end of Railroad Valley and 7,660 acres in the central part of Lake Valley 280 miles north of Las Vegas. The areas of interest are in the Cretaceous Sevier thrust belt.
