Corridor Resources Inc., Halifax, NS, has spudded the Will DeMille O-59 vertical well north of Elgin, NB, to appraise the Frederick Brook shale encountered in the Will DeMille G-59 horizontal well in 2010.

Corridor said it chose the O-59 drill site in large part due to the strong gas shows encountered in the G-59 horizontal section during drilling (OGJ Online, Dec. 6, 2010). It plans to drill O-59 to 2,800 m, run logs, and set casing in preparation for completion and testing in the second quarter of 2012, when equipment is expected to be in the area.
