Dana Petroleum (E&P) Ltd. has slowed production ramp up of the Triton FPSO in the North Sea, said Serica Energy plc in a July 30 release.

The FPSO is tied back to North Sea fields and was shut down for critical repairs following the aftermath of Storm Éowyn in January (OGJ Online, June 30, 2025).

Following initial resumption of production from Bittern field (which flows first due to associated gas from the field being used to provide gas lift for other wells and fuel gas for the FPSO), a problem with the gas lift system prevented other Triton fields from being restarted.

Other minor work was identified which required a short cessation of production to repair. With this remedial work being completed, restart of Triton fields including new wells should proceed to an expedited timeline, Serica said, noting production is now expected to reach a stable level in August.

Production from Bittern field will be followed by Evelyn and Gannet fields. Once existing wells resume production, the new wells drilled on Guillemot North West and Evelyn fields will be brought onstream for the first time.

The BE01 well on Belinda field, which flow tested at constrained rates of 7,500 boe/d, is expected to enter production early 2026 following work to tie the well into the Triton FPSO.
